Meet Alidade

Alidade is a Nashville-based artist who makes soulful folk music rooted in fingerpicked electric guitar.

Her lyrics weave vivid images with aching honesty, penned by NPR as “delicately annihilating.” Coming up in the Rhode Island music scene, singer/songwriter Lindsay Sack learned to find music around her: in the abandoned railway bridge that caught fire, the opaque fog on the ferry back from Block Island, the bright pink corner house she once lived in.

With her deep love of storytelling, she has spent much of the past year building the fictional world of Death Valley Blues, a concept record falling in love with a childhood friend in the landscape of the west. Alidade is frequently compared to artists like Joni Mitchell, and draws inspiration largely from folk, blues, and soul.
